After breakfast, picked up from your hotel at a tentative time of 8.30 am and make your first visit to the Simtokha Dzong – a monastery built in 1627 that today houses the Institute for Language and Cultural Studies. From here, move to the Memorial Chorten – the most visible religious structure in Thimphu and the Buddha View Point. Marvel at the magnificent view of the valley from this point and the statue of Lord Buddha that resides on the premises. After that, you could grab lunch here (own expense) at one of the local eateries to taste the local delicacies of Bhutan.
After lunch, following your sightseeing trip with a drive to Takin Mini Zoo. The Zoo houses the Takin – the national animal of Bhutan that looks similar between a cow and a goat. Legend said that that it was created by the great Buddhist yogi – Drupa Kunle. After sightseeing around the zoo, follow your guide to Tashichho Dzong – a strikingly large structure, surrounded by manicured lawns and beautiful gardens. Inside the Dzong houses the throne room, offices of the secretariat and the King.After visiting Thimphu, you would be dropped off at the hotel to enjoy a delicious dinner.
Depart from Thimphu and embark on a scenic drive to Gangtey, traversing through the picturesque Himalayan landscapes. En route, stop at the Dochula Pass, where you can marvel at the stunning views of the Himalayan mountain range and admire the 108 memorial stupas. Continue to Gangtey, visiting the Gangtey Goemba, a beautiful Buddhist monastery, and exploring the surrounding valley, known for its natural beauty and traditional villages. Take a leisurely walk through the valley, immersing yourself in the serene atmosphere and spotting black-necked cranes in their natural habitat.
Embark on a scenic drive from Gangtey to Punakha, traversing through the stunning Himalayan landscapes. Begin the day with a visit to the Gangtey Monastery, a significant Buddhist site, before departing for Punakha. En route, stop at the Lawa La Pass, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Continue to Punakha, visiting the majestic Punakha Dzong, situated at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers. Explore the dzong’s intricate architecture and historic significance, followed by a leisurely stroll along the scenic riverside.

Depart from Punakha and embark on a scenic drive to Paro, traversing through the picturesque Himalayan landscapes. En route, stop at the Tamchog Lhakhang, a sacred temple built by the renowned iron bridge builder, Thangthong Gyalpo. Continue to Paro, visiting the iconic Paro Rinpung Dzong, a majestic fortress that serves as the administrative and monastic center of the valley. Explore the dzong’s impressive architecture and historic significance, and take a leisurely stroll through the picturesque Paro town, lined with quaint shops, cafes, and traditional Bhutanese architecture.
Spend the day exploring the charming town of Paro, beginning with a visit to the iconic Paro Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest Monastery), precariously perched on a cliff overlooking the valley. Take a scenic hike to the monastery, passing through pine forests and offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Next, visit the Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred temples in Bhutan, dating back to the 7th century. Explore the temple’s intricate architecture and historic significance, and take a stroll through the picturesque Paro town, visiting the Paro Dzong and the National Museum of Bhutan.
