After breakfast, proceed to visit Buddha Dordenma, located atop a hill in Kuensel Phodrang Nature Park, The massive statue of Shakyamuni made of bronze and is gilded in gold, measures 51.5 meters in height, making it one of the largest statues, in Bhutan. 125,000 smaller Buddha statues have been placed within the Buddha Dordenma statue, and then visit King’s Memorial Chorten continuously circumambulator by people, murmuring mantras and spinning their prayer wheels, it serves both as a memorial to the Late King and as a monument to peace. Post Lunch visit Textile Museum to experience the living national art of weaving, Folk Heritage Museum is dedicated to connecting people with the rich Bhutanese Folk heritage and rural history through exhibits, demonstrations, educational programs and documentation of Bhutanese rural life. Tashichho Dzong is the center of government and religion, site of monarch’s throne room and seat of Je Khenpo or Chief Abbot. Overnight say in Thimphu.
Spend 2.5 hours driving from Thimphu to Punakha through the Dochula Pass, admiring the 108 chortens and Himalaya Mountain ranges on your way. Visit Druk Wangyal Lhakhang, where there are beautiful murals depicting historical events of Bhutan before arriving in Punakha. Learn more about Bhutan’s history, arts and religions in Chimi Lhakhang and Punakha Dzong before taking a stroll in local villages, where you could talk to local people freely.
Today you will go back to Paro, where you entered Bhutan 3 days ago without taking any sightseeing activities. Explore the National Museum, where houses lots of exquisite local artworks and Paro Dzong (Rinpung Dzong), where offers you beautiful river view.
Around 2.5 hours’ hiking are needed to reach Taktsang Monastery, the most famous religious relic in Bhutan. It is possible to take a rest at the view terrace, which is located on the half point of the hiking route. You could also visit Kyichu Temple during the hike. The sceneries will not let you down.
